Earn your wings and take action to save the sharks. Here are 15 ways you can get involved and be the difference that helps shift perspectives of sharks and conservation that can bring about positive ocean change.
1. Adopt a shark
Proceeds from our shark adoptions fuel our shark conservation campaigns and make it possible to do our important work. You can adopt a shark virtually or get an adorable shark in the mail.
2. Meet a shark
Make sharks more valuable alive than dead! Shark tourism and ecotourism is an amazing way to support shark conservation. Join us on some incredible shark adventures.
3. Learn about worldwide shark laws
It’s not just about saving sharks – it’s about the oceans. Educate yourself on the laws that supposedly protect sharks.
4. Go plastic free
Sharks, as apex predators, face even more threat from pollution due to biomagnification. Change your habits and clean up your act. Eliminate single use plastics from your life. Avoid using plastic water bottles.
5. Schedule a presentation
We love teaching others about sharks and helping them turn their passion into action. Request a virtual presentation for your classroom, dive club or your next event. Our topics range from Shark IQ to Shark Diving to Sharks, Sex & Wine with specific age appropriateness for each.
6. Keep sharks out of your cosmetics
The majority of Squalene and Squalane comes from shark liver oil. Never use any products (including makeup, wrinkle creams, lotions and deodorants) that contain Squalene unless it specifically states “100% plant-derived”, or “vegetable based” or “vegetable origins”.
7. Get smart! Be positive PR for sharks

8. Donate
Help raise funds to fuel the movement. Start your own fundraiser with your family and friends. 11. Read labels
Know what you are buying. Often shark is relabeled as other types of fish, like rock salmon, included in fish patties like pollock, or hidden from consumers – as shark ingredients are not always labeled like chondroitin which can be made from shark cartilage or shagreen which is made from their skin.
12. Spend a fun afternoon with our shark activity book

13. Grab yourself a shark face mask

Many of the fish we enjoy are in trouble due to destructive fishing and farming practices. When you choose to buy sustainable seafood, you push suppliers to source more environmentally responsible products and encourage sustainable fishing, driving significant improvements throughout the industry.
