We spark the next generation of empowered changemakers, providing them with many of the tools they need to combine their passion with their unique skills to fuel kindness for other species, one another and our shared planet.
Junior Shark Angel Advocate Checklist
Do you absolutely love sharks!? You can take that love and turn it into something jawsome by taking action in the race to help sharks by following along in these 12 activities. Let’s get creative and make a difference!
Twelve activities for becoming a shark advocate:
1. Share a video about your favorite shark.
Take a short video and tell us all about your love for sharks. Include your: name, favorite species of shark, why you love sharks, any questions you have about sharks, anything you’ve done to help sharks. Upload to social media and tag us @sharkangels or contact us directly.
2. Shark Activity Book.
Download our book from this page and spend a fun afternoon coloring and learning all about sharks. See how many lessons you get correct. send your coloring pages in to us so we can share your art with other shark lovers across the world.
3. Adopt A Shark.
There are so many sharks to choose from on the Shark Angels Website! When you adopt, you’ll get to name your shark, have an adoption certificate, a sticker, a photo, and a fact sheet about your shark.
4. “Can u find”…series.
Download the “Can u find series” from this page and see how many marine critters you can find hiding in the coral reef!
5. Monthly drawing contest.
Submit your best drawing that shows why sharks are important and what we can do to help sharks. One winner will be selected per month that will be highlighted on our social media pages and earn a cool prize!
6. Have a Shark Angel present at your school.
Contact a Shark Angel and invite them to talk about sharks and how jawsome they are at your school. We love to share our passion about sharks with others, so don’t be afraid to reach out, we won’t bite!
7. Poster, diorama, Lego sculpture, short film.
Get artsy and make something you can present or display at your school that shows what dangers are putting sharks at risk. (posters, short movies, magnets, stickers, Lego sculptures, dioramas, t-shirts).
8. Fundraising and donating.
Start a fundraiser and donate the proceeds to Shark Angels to help sharks. This can be through a bake sale, birthday party, Shark Week party, car wash, raffle, holiday candy grams, 5K race, or any other cool ideas that you have.
9. Beach or park clean up.
Organize a clean-up with your family & community. beach/park clean-ups are a fun way to get outside and help sharks along with all sorts of ocean critters!
10. Create a Shark IQ Trivia Game.
Take all the cool stuff you know about sharks and turn it into a fun game you can share!
11. Sign our petition.
Get your friends and family members to stand up for sharks. Let’s get sharks out of our souvenirs.
12. Write a letter.
Reach out to your Congressman and delegate at the IUCN explaining why they should protect sharks.
